This week I saw...

... de kringloopwinkel!

Om een heleboel spullen weg te brengen natuurlijk... maarre... ja, als je 

dan naar binnen gaat dan vind je weleens wat...

Ik kon dit stel bijvoorbeeld niet laten staan...

En op gegroeid in de Betuwe met Flipje dus die moest ook mee om 

sentimentele redenen, ook al heeft ie dan geen handen meer.

Als kind vond ik het enge aan Flipje dat hij zomaar die bessen kon

verliezen of dat ie opgegeten werd ofzo ... 

... the thriftshop!

To get rid of a lot of stuff of course... but when you get inside you

probably find something nice...

Dit doosje met houten kralen mocht ook mee.

This little box with wooden beads also made it's way to our home.

En toen had ik al afgerekend en zag ik bij de uitgang dit mevrouwtje liggen...

Nogal viezig, maar ze hééft wel iets... ( iets zieligs waarschijnlijk ;-).

Weet een van jullie misschien uit welke tijd ze ongeveer komt?

( En hoe ik haar schoon kan maken ? ! ).

En zoals ventje zei : "wanneer breng je al deze spullen weer naar de kringloop?"

Tsja, het heet toch niet voor niks "kringloop" hè.... :o)

And then I saw this little lady lying near the exit...

She's not the cleanest I've ever seen but I liked her anyway...

Does anyone of you sweet ladies know from what period in time she is?

( And how I can clean her ?!).

And last but not least:

This week I saw...

... vooral heel veel verhuisdozen...!

En de katten die de inmiddels grotere en hogere stapel dozen gebruiken als een 

soort apenrots...

.... lots of boxes.....!

And the cats climbing and having fun on this evergrowing pile of boxes...

Mijn mand met katoenbolletjes en haaknaalden pak ik pas als allerlaatste 

in, dan kan ik tussendoor toch nog even wat freubelen...

Zoals dit haaksel ; gebaseerd op de leuke dingen die Vendulka maakt!

My basket with cotton yarns and hooking needles isn't packed yet....

That comes last I guess, so I can still do some crafty stuff while 

filling all those boxes.

I made this hooky kind of house; based on the nice things that Vendulka makes!

Ik zag ook dat ons tuintje er mooi bijstaat met dit heerlijke zomerweer...

En ik zag mezelf zomaar veertig worden, maar daar heb ik geen foto's van!

Ik zag ook dat ik nu echt weinig tijd heb om in blogland te vertoeven en al jullie

blogs bij te houden.... hopelijk komt dat gauw weer!

Ik doe mijn best om een beetje bij te blijven, maar dat lukt niet altijd helaas....

I also saw that our little garden looks good in this lovely summer weather...

And I saw myself becoming forty years old all of a sudden, but I don't have any pictures

of that!

I also saw that I don't have much time to spend in blogland these days to follow all

your nice blogs... hopefully soon this will get better!

I'm doing my best to keep track, but that's not always possible unfortunately...

This week I saw...

.... hoe een stukje drijfhout en wat wol samen een zeepaardje werden....

Nou ja, dat zag ik eigenlijk al eerder, maar ik maakte er nu pas een foto

van; ik vind het wel leuk om de dingen die ik nu tegenkom nog even op de foto

te zetten voordat het in een verhuisdoos verdwijnt!

.... how a piece of driftwood and some wool together became a seahorse...

Well, I did see this already, but didn't make a photo of it until now;

I'm making pictures of some items before they disappear in a moving box!

En toen ik van de week een keer thuiskwam zag ik dit tafereeltje:

All is good today

Het leek warempel wel zomer vandaag!

Felt like a proper summers day today!

Even een wandelingetje vlak bij huis.

Dit landschap zie ik zo vaak dat het haast gewoon is, maar als je tijdens het wandelen

goed om je heen kijkt, ruikt , voelt en luistert dan is het toch behoorlijk mooi!

Time for a little walk near our house.

I see this landscape so often that I almost take it for granted...

But when I have a stroll there, and take a good look, smell the grass, hear the wind,

then it feels pretty amazing to me!

Zie je de wind door het graan golven?

Can you see the wind making waves ?

Ik geniet met volle teugen van een dag als deze!

Dat inpakken voor de verhuizing kan best nog wel even wachten...

I just love days like these!

Preparing  for our move is not on my list today...

Bee's Granny bread

En toen zag ik me gisteren toch een lekker broodje voorbijkomen op het blog van Bee....

Die wilde ik ook heel graag proberen!

Ik ben niet perse zo'n keukenprinses maar hier zitten maar drie ingrediënten in dus

die durfde ik nog wel bij elkaar in een kom te gooien en dan in de oven....

And then I saw such a delicious looking bread on Bee's blog yesterday...

I wanted to try to make one myself!

It only consists of three ingredients so that's why I had the courage to give it a go...

Ik vind 'm toch aardig gelukt, vooral voor een eerste poging!

Ventje en ik hebben wat stukjes geprobeerd toen het brood nog warm was,

heerlijk met een beetje aardbeienjam!

Voor het recept : the Linen Cloud , sowieso een heel fijn en gezellig blog om eens

rond te neuzen....

Enne... "buttermilk"  is bij ons karnemelk als ik het goed heb...

Eet smakelijk!

I'm rather pleased with the result, especially for the first time!

Little guy and myself tried it when it was still warm,

with some strawberry jam on it.... so delicious!

This week I saw...

...een viltwerkje

.... a piece of felt

.... veel regendruppels

.... lots of raindrops

... en een Pippi die veeeeeeel geduld moet hebben 

met haar nieuwe zusje!

Ze wordt overal door Betsy achtervolgt want die wil het 

liefst de hele dag met haar spelen en knuffelen

(maar Pippi niet!).

... and Pippi who has to have lots of patience with

her new sister!

Betsy is following her everywhere because she wants 

to play and cuddle with her

(but Pippi doesn't!)

Laboratory rabbit

Tijdens het opruimen voor onze verhuizing kom ik ook nog veel

onafgemaakte dingen tegen...

Zo zag ik dit proefkonijn van vilt... in haar blootje tussen allerlei andere viltsels.

While cleaning the house for our move, I find lots of unfinished items...

Like this rabbit for instance... bare naked between all sorts of other felt things.

Ik ben absoluut niet handig met naald en draad, maar heb toch mijn best 

gedaan om een jurkje voor haar te freubelen...

Ik heb geen commentaar gehoord dus ze zal wel tevreden zijn!

I'm not at all handy with thread and needle, but I tried my best to make 

a little dress for her....

I didn't hear any complaints so I guess she's allright with it!

Met staart ruimte!

With room for a tail!

Zo, klaar voor de verhuizing!

Nou wij nog.... ;-)
